HEADED TO THE ICE

Maggie has packing for the ice down to a science.

Maggie, Mark, Devon and Tennessee are all headed to Antarctica for various stints during the summer 25-26 season. Hopefully, their paths will cross and we’ll find them all in the same place at the same time at some point during their adventures down south.

Maggie and Mark will be there for the full season from November through February, as Maggie’s job involves guiding multiple trips to the South Pole and in the Union Glacier (UG) area, and Mark manages the equipment and camp maintenance at UG.

Devon will be helping to rebuild the camp at the South Pole and Tennessee works in a historical and archival capacity.

They will each travel from Canada, the UK and Norway to Punte Arenas, Chile, and from there catch the flight to Union Glacier.

Flying into Antarctica is an ethereal experience.
